Job summary

PBF Energy in Parsippany, NJ seeks a Sr. Manager, Petrochemical Storage & Terminal Optimization to lead network-wide storage strategy and optimize capacity for margin, flexibility, and arbitrage value.

The role requires 10+ years in logistics or terminal operations, strong contract negotiation skills, and a background in refined products or bulk liquids. On-site position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Business or Supply Chain Degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, terminal operations, or commercial storage management.
• Strong experience with third-party storage contracts and terminal operations.
• Background in refined products, energy, chemicals, or bulk liquids logistics preferred.
• Proven ability to manage commercial negotiations and long-term agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a network-wide storage and terminal strategy to support trading, refining, and customer commitments.
• Optimize inventory positioning, storage utilization, and capacity deployment to maximize margin and flexibility.
• Lead third-party terminal strategy including contract structuring, negotiations, renewals, and relationship management.
• Align contracted storage capacity with operational needs and address underutilized or high-cost positions.
• Partner with Network Optimization, Trading, Scheduling, Refinery Operations, and Logistics teams for integrated execution.
• Ensure storage availability and reliability, serving as escalation point for terminal issues.
• Own storage-related costs and improve transparency into total cost, utilization, and value across the network.
• Establish and monitor metrics on utilization, cost efficiency, and contract effectiveness; lead centralized Storage & Terminal Optimization team.
