Job summary

South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) is seeking a Budget and Grants Director to guide the agency's financial planning and grant submissions. You will oversee budgets, forecasts, and cost allocations, ensuring alignment with DEW initiatives and funding changes.

Responsibilities include directing financial reporting, dashboards, and analyses for leadership, and coordinating grant budgets and narratives for federal and state submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• Proven experience in accounting, auditing, finance, or banking.
• Experience with large and complex Excel datasets.

Responsibilities

• Direct the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and analyses to support agency leadership and program management.
• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of required financial reports to federal and state oversight entities.
• Direct the development, implementation, and maintenance of the agency’s Cost Allocation Plan.
• Lead the development of agency budget requests, fiscal analyses, budget submissions, and other requirements associated with South Carolina’s state budget process.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of financial components of grant applications, including budgets, budget narratives, funding justification, and supporting financial documentation.
