Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a versatile communications and stakeholder engagement professional to support outreach for multiple federal government functions.

You will join a team delivering engagement strategies, informational briefings, and content for external audiences to aid understanding of program updates and system improvements. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 4+ years of related experience, and ability to obtain a Level 5 public trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing/outreach, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain a Level 5 public trust clearance.
• 4+ years of related experience.
• Experience in government/client space (preferred).
• Knowledge of or experience with the import/export industry (preferred).
• Strong editorial and writing abilities; ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience creating content for print and digital platforms.
• Familiarity with style guides and plain language requirements.
• Ability to coordinate timelines and stakeholders.
• Adaptable to evolving project requirements.
• Problem-solve basic technical issues.
• Competency with MS Office, SharePoint, etc.
• Comfortable working remotely in a distributed team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Detail-oriented; team-oriented and proactive.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Willingness to brainstorm and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing interaction with external stakeholder groups.
• Coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Create and maintain documentation for stakeholder strategies and external information.
• Serve as liaison between business units for program updates and rollout.
• Plan and facilitate meetings on multiple platforms with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Conceive and develop print and digital content for outreach events.
• Prepare and revise presentations and talking points for external events.
