Job summary

Redwire Space seeks a Vice President of Government Relations to define and lead the organization's government engagement strategy across federal, state, and local levels from our Chantilly, VA facility. The role reports to senior leadership and collaborates with CEO, segment presidents, BD, engineering, and program teams to advance defense, intelligence, and commercial interests.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in government relations, legislative affairs, national security, aerospace, or defense.
Deep experience with U.S. congressional committees and executive branch policy.
Strong understanding of budgeting, acquisition, and policymaking for defense/space programs.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a multi-level government relations strategy aligned with company goals.
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with government officials and regulators.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with business segments, engineering, and program teams.
Build state and local government affairs capabilities from the ground up.
Advise executive leadership on political strategy and risk mitigation.
