Job summary

Wabtec Corporation seeks a senior Sourcing leader to drive freight car product procurement strategy and supplier performance across global plants. You will lead ~12 professionals, align commercial demand with operations, and ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met through disciplined governance and Oracle-driven processes.

The role demands extensive experience in strategic sourcing, SIOP, and cross-functional leadership; relocation to major US sites may be involved.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive sourcing, procurement, or manufacturing experience in a complex industrial environment.
• Experience leading a sourcing or supply-chain team across multiple sites in a matrix organization.
• Expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier performance, and cost reduction.
• Strong knowledge of SIOP, demand and capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Extensive Oracle ERP/MRP experience including sourcing rules, pricing, lead times, and purchasing parameters.
• Proven ability to improve processes with governance and standard work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Freight Car Products sourcing strategy aligned with priorities and global direction.
• Lead supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations, contracts, long-term agreements, and strategic supplier relationships.
• Drive supplier performance on availability, cost, delivery, capacity, responsiveness, and risk; establish scorecards and corrective actions.
• Act as a key leader in the SIOP process translating forecasts, backlog, orders, and product mix into executable actions.
• Coach the team and cross-functional stakeholders on Oracle processes, data discipline, and sourcing governance.
