Primary Services is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Technology to support a leading organization in optimizing its IT sourcing strategy. This role is pivotal in developing and executing strategic sourcing plans, evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. It provides an excellent opportunity to leverage expertise in IT procurement, with a focus on cloud technologies (SaaS/IaaS/PaaS), cybersecurity, telecom, high-performance computing, and more, while collaborating with key stakeholders to drive business success.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for IT-related products and services, with an emphasis on cloud solutions (SaaS/IaaS/PaaS), cybersecurity, network/telecom,
• high-performance computing, operational technologies, application & platform engineering, and data foundation.
• Lead the procurement process for SaaS agreements, renewals, and contracts, ensuring they align with organizational needs and compliance standards.
• Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, collaborating with internal stakeholders to define requirements and vendor selection
• criteria.
• Identify and assess potential vendors based on organizational requirements, vendor performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and vendor landscapes to drive cost savings and continuous improvement in IT sourcing.
• Conduct thorough vendor evaluations, including financial stability, reputation, service quality, and compliance with cybersecurity and industry standards.
• Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, including pricing, SLAs, warranties, renewals, delivery schedules, and cybersecurity provisions.
• Ensure contracts are comprehensive, legally sound, and aligned with organizational policies, particularly around cloud and cybersecurity requirements.
• Identify procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect business interests.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor management, building strong, long-term relationships with vendors and key internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate regular vendor meetings to review performance, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal procurement policies related to IT sourcing and vendor management.
• Maintain accurate documentation of vendor contracts, agreements, performance metrics, and renewal schedules.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
• Proven experience in IT strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation within a corporate environment, with a focus on cloud services (SaaS/IaaS/PaaS),
• cybersecurity, and network/telecom technologies.
• Expertise in managing SaaS agreements, contract renewals, RFPs, and RFQs.
• Strong understanding of IT procurement processes, including hardware, software, cloud services, and professional services.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex vendor proposals and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and standards in IT procurement, vendor management, and cybersecurity.
