Job summary

Air Liquide USA LLC in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a Sr. Sourcing Specialist to act as a relay between procurement and operations, leading bidding, RFQs, supplier qualification, TAR planning, and cost savings initiatives.

You will manage commercial risk and contract negotiations to ensure safe, compliant and reliable supply for major capital projects and plant operations. The ideal candidate has a college degree with purchasing or operations experience and at least five years in supply chain roles,

Qualifications

• College degree with 2 years purchasing experience supporting operations or manufacturing, or 2 years operations with strong commercial skill sets.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead bidding and sourcing activities for all purchases by assigned zone or business unit (BU).
• Assist in developing technical specifications and/or scopes of work with internal customers.
• Develop and issue formal requests for quotes (RFQ's).
• Lead job walks and bid clarification meetings with internal customers.
• Negotiate final price and commercial terms.
• Make sourcing recommendations to internal customers.
• Author and execute materials and services contracts as required.
