Job summary

Honda PROCUREMENT Sourcing Specialist role focuses on competitively bidding outsourced parts for Powersports production. You will evaluate responses, maintain supplier relationships, and exercise cost-signing authority per corporate guidelines.

Key duties include cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and executing cost-reduction tactics across a global supply base. Travel and cross-functional collaboration are expected to deliver best-value parts for mass production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 0+ years related work experience preferably in Powersports or Automotive field.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Must be able to operate with high level of confidentiality.
• General knowledge of cost, budget and/or financial information management.
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to summarize key issues for management review.

Responsibilities

• Represent Honda with minimal supervision in interactions with suppliers to request, review, negotiate, and approve quotations that contribute to setting production costs.
• Prepare cost analyses and negotiate with suppliers/designers to contribute to target achievement.
• Execute supplier/part/commodity tactics to realize cost reduction and SQCDM objectives.
• Propose maker layout selections considering quality, cost, delivery, development, and management for high-volume parts.
• Contribute to design input to optimize cost and part design.
