Job summary

Badger Meter, a global water technology leader in Milwaukee, seeks a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support both strategic and tactical procurement initiatives. You will assist the Strategic Sourcing Manager with vendor relationships, new product development support, project implementation, and process improvements to achieve SQDCC goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 3+ years in supply chain, with advanced MS Office skills and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in supply chain, business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive proactive involvement in all sourcing activities and project meetings.
• Review supply base by commodity and consolidate with strong partners.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and develop new or improved products.
• Conduct on-site supplier evaluation visits for recommendations.
• Analyze and schedule material purchases using ERP and tools.
• Set planning parameters and issue POs to meet production needs.
• Support procurement metrics reporting and supplier risk analyses.
• Travel up to 15%.
