Badger Meter is seeking a Buyer II to own supplier performance, lead strategic sourcing initiatives, and drive cost reduction. You will evaluate supplier capabilities, negotiate contracts, and develop supplier improvement programs while influencing sourcing decisions and procurement outcomes.

The role emphasizes material planning, supplier collaboration, and continuous improvement to support production needs and company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years' experience in a Supply Chain role

Responsabilités

• Analyzes and schedules material purchases using MRP systems.
• Manages purchase orders with suppliers to meet production targets at optimal inventory levels.
• Negotiates contracts with suppliers to meet company requirements.
• Drives supplier performance improvements and cost reductions.
• Works cross-functionally to execute supply chain strategies.
• Monitors supplier quotations to determine best value beyond cost.
