Job summary

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or related field required.
• 2+ years with degree or 5+ years without degree in supply chain roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP systems experience required; SAP and Teamscenter preferred.
• APICS or ISM supply chain certificate preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply math concepts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement supplier cost reductions.
• Assist in selecting and managing suppliers.
• Perform make vs. buy analyses for materials and suppliers.
• Support materials and quality teams on supplier issues.
• Source materials for new product launches and model changes.
• Coordinate supplier transition between external and in-house production.
• Prepare RFQ packages and seek premium pricing.
• Collaborate with finance to ensure timely supplier payments.
• Lead materials projects using lean methods and data from factory systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to identify and implement supplier cost reductions.
• Assist in the selection and management of new and current suppliers.
• Perform make vs. buy analysis to determine optimal chain of supply for materials and suppliers.
• Support materials and quality teams to identify supplier delivery and quality issues.
• Source materials for new product launches and product model changes.
• Support the supplier transition process by allocating work from an external supplier to in house production or vice versa.
• Coordinate request for quote packages with supply base to ensure premium pricing for sourced materials.
• Collaborate with the finance and accounting departments to ensure suppliers are paid on time.
• Manage materials projects by using problem solving techniques, data from factory information systems, and lean manufacturing concepts.
