Job summary

Hi-Line Inc. is seeking an experienced Purchasing & Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead our purchasing team, strengthen supplier partnerships, and improve product availability across a large, diverse inventory.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in purchasing, procurement, or strategic sourcing.
• Experience leading and developing a purchasing team.
• Experience managing a large, diverse SKU portfolio and replenishment.
• Strong negotiating with suppliers (pricing, terms, service).
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and lookups.
• Experience using ERP/inventory management systems.
• Onsite work in Farmers Branch, TX; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the purchasing team with clear priorities and accountability.
• Build and manage supplier relationships; negotiate pricing and terms.
• Improve product availability and fill rates through forecasting and inventory controls.
• Manage inventory investment balancing demand with excess stock.
• Measure supplier performance with scorecards and address issues.
• Identify alternate suppliers and respond to shortages and market changes.
• Collaborate with Product Management on new product introductions and transitions.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data, supplier records, and discrepancy resolution.
• Enhance KPI reporting using Excel, ERP data, and BI tools.
• Resolve cross-department purchasing issues and escalate when needed.
