Job summary

Velocity Electronics, a Jabil company, in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to grow and manage the vendor base while supporting the sales team.

The role combines strategic sourcing with hands-on procurement to ensure on-time delivery and optimal costs.You will lead the Buyers team, oversee supplier evaluations, expediting, and purchase orders, and collaborate with internal teams to align supply chain objectives.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or related field.
• 5+ years in purchasing, procurement, or electronics distribution.
• 2+ years of managerial or team leadership experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and vendor management.
• Knowledge of semiconductor/electronics supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage Velocity's vendor base while supporting sales.
• Oversee procurement and expediting of materials.
• Supervise Buyers and develop the Buyers team.
• Review and approve purchase orders and VRMAs.
• Lead reporting and analytics on purchasing activity.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive sourcing, procurement, and customer-focused outcomes.
