Job summary

Danfoss GmbH in Ames, IA is seeking a senior procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing for direct materials and services. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, and drive end-to-end projects with cross-functional teams across domestic and global partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management required.
8+ years in supply chain or strategic sourcing including mechanical/electronics categories.
8+ years with strategic sourcing, supplier management, and project management including GD&T.
6+ years in cross-functional simultaneous engineering projects following PDP stage gate process.
6+ years experience with SAP (MM) and with Teamcenter PLM (Siemens).
6+ years in PPAP following IATF 16949 automotive standards.

Responsibilities

Lead development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives for direct materials and services.
Be the first point of contact for escalation of supplier issues affecting Supply Chain, Quality, and Plant Operations.
Lead cross-functional project teams locally and globally, end-to-end responsibility for business unit supplier projects.
Assist in negotiating and creating supplier agreements; drive spend analysis and identify TCO opportunities.
Oversee supplier search, qualification, and PPAP involvement to ensure supplier readiness.
