Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement to lead the buying process for assigned goods, apply sourcing policies, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams. The role requires robust procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to guide cross-functional stakeholders.

The position is hybrid, with three days in the office, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sourcing).
• Have a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Buying-Procurement in the Chemical Industry.
• Have experience with supplier negotiations with a successful outcome.
• Have strong work ethics and ability to work under pressure
• Have strong interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Placing and follow-up on Purchase Orders (PO).
• Managing relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
• Managing problems and schedule changes. Update ERP.
• Advising functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in the field.
• Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
• Contributing to projects as a team member or leading small projects.
• Working goals typically take 3-6 months to complete and the time horizon for results/impact is typically 2-12 months after the event.
