Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives, partnering with operations and business leaders. The role focuses on supplier management, spend analysis, contract negotiations, and category management within a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years in procurement or supply chain, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• 2-3 years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and sourcing activities.
• Strong analytical skills with experience conducting spend reviews and cost analyses.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement activities and supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
• Partner with Operations, Category Managers, and business stakeholders to support procurement objectives and operational needs.
• Conduct vendor performance reviews and identify opportunities for supplier improvement and consolidation.
• Perform spend analysis, cost comparisons, and sourcing evaluations to identify savings opportunities.
• Lead supplier identification, qualification, and selection initiatives.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements, including pricing, service levels, quality requirements, and product availability.
• Execute and manage formal RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) for major projects and spend categories.
• Process purchase requests, obtain supplier quotes, evaluate proposals, and generate purchase orders.
• Manage supplier onboarding and prequalification processes while ensuring ongoing compliance requirements are met.
• Drive adoption of procurement systems, contract utilization, supplier consolidation, and purchasing compliance initiatives.
• Participate in site visits and regional meetings to support operational and procurement goals.
• Assist in delivering procurement and supply chain training to division leadership and operational teams.
