Job summary

Merck invites talented students to join its Future Talent Program in the Global Support division for a 10–12 week internship. You will engage in market intelligence gathering, pre-negotiation planning, RFIs, RFPs, and e-auctions, while supporting R&D Sourcing & Procurement across discovery science and development functions.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, cost modeling, risk assessments, and supplier performance monitoring within a global supply chain context.

Qualifications

• Currently in sophomore or junior level curriculum, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic and operating objectives for the procurement function.
• Work with cross functional teams including Legal, Finance, Procure-to-Pay, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers.
• Conduct detailed market analyses to provide deep and meaningful insights.
• Implement procurement efforts and execute tactical procurement processes and contract procedures.
