Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Sourcing Manager for a manufacturing client in the Knoxville, TN area. The role focuses on sourcing materials, negotiating supplier terms, and ensuring quality and compliance, with a salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 USD annually.

Responsibilities include evaluating supplier quotations, monitoring market trends, maintaining records, and collaborating with internal teams to drive cost reductions while sustaining supply continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food service products.

Responsibilities

• Source ingredients, packaging, and other materials to support product development and operations.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier quotations to optimize cost, quality, service, and delivery.
• Monitor market trends and commodity activity affecting availability and pricing.
• Maintain purchasing records, cost data, and supplier information with timely pricing updates.
• Analyze purchasing trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and strengthen negotiations.
• Develop and maintain a reliable supplier network to ensure continuity of supply.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements aligned with business objectives.
• Review supplier pricing to ensure contract compliance and cost structures.
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and partners.
• Evaluate incoming materials for quality and specification compliance; coordinate substitutions if needed.
• Support QA initiatives to ensure ingredients, packaging, and products meet standards.
• Follow all GMP, safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Investigate material quality issues and supplier performance concerns.
