Job summary

Stratasys is seeking a Manager, Strategic Sourcing – Direct Materials to lead global direct-material sourcing strategy for manufacturing. You will align with product roadmaps, drive cost leadership, and manage supplier relationships to deliver value across Stratasys’ operations.

The role requires 8+ years in strategic sourcing, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering cost savings.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or related supply chain functions.
• Significant experience managing direct materials in manufacturing/technology environments.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies and delivering measurable cost savings.
• Experience leading negotiations, supplier agreements, supplier performance initiatives, and supply-risk mitigation.
• 2+ years of experience leading, managing, or developing sourcing/procurement professionals.
• Strong understanding of supplier management, total cost of ownership, cost analysis, and strategic negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global sourcing strategy for direct materials.
• Lead strategic negotiations and long-term supplier agreements to improve cost, quality, capacity, and supplier value.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and cost optimization strategies.
• Monitor market conditions, supplier capacity, material availability, and external factors impacting cost or supply.
• Report sourcing performance, savings, supplier risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Operations, and Quality to align sourcing with product and manufacturing needs.
