Job summary

The Planet Group in the United States seeks an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead contract negotiations and procurement strategy in Michigan. You will drive supplier selection and cost-optimization across multiple categories, aligning with business goals and risk controls.

Responsibilities include managing RFQ/RFP processes, analyzing requirements, and negotiating favorable terms with strategic suppliers while ensuring compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, IT, procurement, or related field; 2-4 years experience.
• Knowledge of the procurement cycle; RFQ/RFP packages experience.
• Knowledge of business law, commercial terms; negotiations.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and deliver customer service.
• Ability to analyze drawings, scope or SOW to create/edit sourcing packages.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain best prices and terms.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to reduce cost and improve quality.
• Manage RFQ/RFP/RFI processes and supplier selection.
• Collaborate with Legal counsel to ensure compliant contracts.
• Lead supplier performance and relationship management.
