A leading company is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to oversee the end-to-end sourcing process. The role involves negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and collaborating with various teams to ensure product availability and cost efficiency.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for the company's end-to-end sourcing of products essential to our operations. This position manages all phases of sourcing, including identifying cost savings opportunities, creating competitive environments, negotiating creatively, and generating contracts to ensure seamless product availability supporting company objectives.
Responsible for the strategic sourcing management goals of the assigned plant/product and implementing action items to ensure those goals are achieved.
Negotiate for the best possible cost, service guarantee, and develop "win-win" strategies to establish sustainable supplier relationships.
Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models.
Establish supplier agreements and contracts.
Research and anticipate shifts in suppliers' negotiating power.
Maintain and develop supplier relationships.
Develop a supplier management program with key suppliers, including metrics, performance goals, and improvement initiatives.
Develop and implement sourcing and supplier selection strategies domestically and internationally.
Track and report operational KPIs such as cost savings, on-time delivery, quality, and compliance.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Plant Operations, Quality, and Planning teams.
Assist in other duties as required.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Production Management, Materials Management, or related fields.
At least 5 years of purchasing/strategic sourcing experience and 3 years of operations/supply chain experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Knowledge of legal terminology related to supplier/vendor agreements and contracts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
