Job summary

Legrand is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing strategies for metal commodities and other key components. You will partner with business unit sourcing leads, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings and risk management across the Data Center Power & Control division.

The role requires 5+ years in sourcing/procurement within manufacturing, a bachelor's in a related field, and strong negotiation, collaboration, and analytics. Hybrid in Anaheim with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field required.
  • Project management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key commodities and suppliers, including steel, aluminum, copper, paint, electronics, packaging, and miscellaneous assembly parts.
  • Lead the divisional metal commodity strategy and partner with business unit sourcing leads to leverage buying power and deliver enterprise value.
  • Drive supplier management and compliance expectations, including CSR, risk management, supplier financial health, and alignment with metrics.
  • Build and nurture strong supplier partnerships by establishing KPIs, tracking scorecards, and leading reviews.
  • Strengthen supply resilience by ensuring current and future supply base can support business needs with cost, capacity, quality, and on‑time delivery.

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the Data Center Power & Control Team. This position reports to Anaheim, CA on a hybrid basis. This is a high-impact, hands‑on sourcing leadership role for a strategic professional who excels at building supplier partnerships, translating sourcing strategy into action, and delivering measurable Adjusted Operating Income (AOI) impact across the business. This role operates closely with the business, influences outcomes directly, and drives results through strong commercial ownership, thoughtful negotiations, and cross‑functional collaboration, serving as a key business partner to Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Product Management, and Planning to help shape the future of the supply base, support growth objectives, and advance operational excellence across the business.
Responsibilities
What Will You Do?
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key commodities and suppliers, including steel, aluminum, copper, paint, electronics, packaging, and miscellaneous assembly parts, while leveraging division and corporate tools to improve cost effectiveness, efficiency, and supply chain resilience.
  • Lead the divisional metal commodity strategy and partner with business unit sourcing leads across the division to leverage buying power, align priorities, and deliver enterprise value.
  • Drive supplier management and compliance expectations, including corporate social responsibility, risk management, supplier financial health, and alignment with division and corporate performance metrics.
  • Build and nurture strong supplier partnerships by establishing KPIs, tracking scorecards, and leading recurring business reviews to improve performance and identify future efficiency opportunities.
  • Strengthen supply resilience by ensuring the current and future supply base can support business needs through competitive cost, capacity, capability, quality, on‑time delivery, and effective inventory management.
  • Lead complex supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, improve cost position, and protect quality, service, and continuity expectations.
  • Collaborate with business, divisional, and corporate leaders to understand evolving business needs and ensure sourcing strategies remain aligned with current priorities and long‑term growth plans.
  • Identify and evaluate new sources, methods, and suppliers by using market intelligence, benchmarking, and frequent market analysis to anticipate price changes and supply risk.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report monthly cost savings through PerfOne in partnership with Supply Chain and Finance, ensuring clear visibility into business unit results.
  • Assess and mitigate supply base risks while ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and business continuity requirements.
  • Serve as the escalation point for critical shortages, partnering with cross‑functional teams to protect production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Facilitate supplier site visits with Operations, Procurement, and Safety teams to identify manufacturing improvements, strengthen supplier capabilities, and support continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Engineering on supplier development, supplier setup, audits, compliance activities, and long‑term performance improvement.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain to execute sourcing strategies, resolve issues, and ensure sourcing strategies are translated into operational results.

Education
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field required.
  • Project management certification preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years of supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or related experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment required.
Preferred Skills
  • Foundational knowledge of raw metals, including steel and aluminum products, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, track, and improve supplier KPIs that drive measurable cost, quality, and delivery improvements.
  • Ability to build trusted, long‑term supplier relationships that support future growth, innovation, and business opportunities.
  • Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, Excel with PivotTables, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present information clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs and projects, operate effectively through ambiguity, and resolve conflict in a constructive manner.
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to apply mechanical principles and collaborate with subject matter experts to solve problems with ingenuity and practical judgment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% required.
Salary and Benefits: 130,000 - 150,000K base plus bonus
