Job summary

Intuitive Machines seeks a Strategic Sourcing Manager (West) to lead procurement for high-volume and low-volume programs from Palo Alto, CA or Houston, TX. Remote considered.

The role focuses on building a scalable, risk-aware supply chain and close collaboration with engineering, program management, and quality teams. You will drive supplier selection, negotiate strategic contracts, and shape manufacturing strategies for mission-critical space systems, while supporting government procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience sourcing from a global supply base with various contract models.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or cross-functional team experience.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing products and space industry practices.
• Ability to travel up to 20% and communicate outside standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and supplier partnership initiatives tailored to risk, cost and schedule per program.
• Conduct supplier analysis to identify new and existing suppliers and optimize cost structures.
• Lead cross-functional teams to assess supplier capability, capacity and quality systems.
• Drive continuous improvement addressing supplier quality, cost, delivery, lead-time and risk.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate requirements into procurement strategy.
• Partner with engineering on design decisions supporting scalable supply plans.
