Job summary

Janus Henderson Group is seeking a senior procurement professional to develop and execute category strategies across professional, corporate, marketing, client, and HR services. The role emphasizes leading sourcing events, renewal planning, and risk mitigation while partnering with stakeholders to ensure value for money and appropriate service levels.

The position requires 5+ years in strategic sourcing, strong commercial acumen, and experience in matrixed organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, and negotiations.
• Experience across Professional Services, Corporate Services, Marketing/Client Services, and HR services spend.
• Proven ability to lead sourcing events and commercial negotiations.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of TCO and supplier proposals.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven category strategy development.
• Experience working in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Discretion and professionalism handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies across multiple spend areas.
• Lead sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and negotiations.
• Own renewal planning and risk mitigation for assigned categories.
• Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and ensure value for money.
• Support spend management in legal services, professional services, and related areas.
• Manage spend categories across professional, corporate, marketing, client, and HR services.
• Develop and implement contingent workforce strategy with governance and controls.
• Analyze spend, contracts, supplier data to identify savings and consolidation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Risk, Compliance, HR, and others for due diligence and compliance.
• Track sourcing pipeline, savings delivery, and renewal status; report outcomes.
• Build strong supplier relationships and act as trusted commercial advisor.
• Contribute to procurement playbooks and governance standards.
