Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP invites applications for a Commercial Sourcing Advisor in Martinez, CA. You will lead sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost efficiency for the Martinez Renewable Fuels Facility.

You will partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance to ensure timely delivery, supplier performance, and continuity of supply across turnarounds and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Education in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years of Supply Chain or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage material commodity buying to support operations, turnarounds, and projects; source, evaluate bids, negotiate with suppliers, and issue purchase orders.
• Develop contracting strategies and maintain relationships with key suppliers to optimize terms and services.
• Lead bid package processes from development to PO execution; participate in vendor pre-bid meetings and site walks.
• Negotiate terms and conditions of service and/or supply agreements; manage rate sheets and ensure cost competitiveness.
• Analyze data for decision-making, total cost of ownership, and should-cost modeling; support risk and supplier performance management.
