Job summary

Shipt, Inc. is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager located in Birmingham, AL or Minneapolis, MN to build category plans and lead sourcing and negotiations for indirect spend.

You will act as a trusted advisor, delivering foundational and advanced sourcing for complex projects, partnering with SMEs to design Total Cost of Ownership strategies and collaborating with legal teams on contracting efforts.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree and/or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Experience in using procurement, spend management/analytics toolsets.
• Ability to work well with others and resolve differences of opinion.
• MBA or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute category management plans.
• Lead sourcing and negotiations for indirect spend.
• Act as trusted advisor delivering sourcing for complex, ambiguous projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams and partner with SMEs to design Total Cost of Ownership strategies.
• Work with legal teams to drive contracting efforts.
• Champion organizational change by presenting to stakeholders.
• Proactively build a project pipeline and balance category management with collaborative leadership.
• Coach and mentor team members.
