Under the Category Manager, you will craft sourcing strategies, run RFIs/RFPs, manage supplier relationships, and support cross-functional teams to achieve savings targets while balancing business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or GED with relevant procurement experience.
• Knowledge of the procurement lifecycle and best practices.
• Experience in supplier negotiations and developing sourcing strategies.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet goals.
• Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for business.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day supplier relations for indirect spend and seeks growth opportunities.
• Develops and executes category sourcing strategies, RFIs/RFPs, and supplier negotiations.
• Assists in business planning, metrics, and cross-functional sourcing opportunities.
• Collaborates on inventory control and process improvements to reduce costs.
• Drives spend tracking, data analysis, and KPI reporting with Category Manager.
• Participates in weekly category reviews to monitor performance.
• Supports savings goals and coordinated sourcing across streams.
• Monitors supplier performance and participates in strategic supplier meetings.
• Mentors and communicates effectively to maintain team morale.
