Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a senior leader to head the Strategic Sourcing team within its Finance Division. You will develop and implement category strategies across Wheels & Brakes, GSE, and interiors, delivering cost reductions and improved supplier performance while aligning with stakeholder priorities.

You will lead a team of procurement professionals, guide negotiations, and ensure compliance with company policies and RAP. Excellent leadership and strategic thinking are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience/training.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, orBusiness Administration/Management.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust category strategies based on market understanding and stakeholder priorities; drive cost reductions and working capital benefits.
• Implement and track category strategies with year-over-year cost reductions and improved supplier performance.
• Present category strategy recommendations and results to management levels, including Officer level.
• Manage relationships between supplier executive teams and internal stakeholders; conduct business reviews and track plans/results.
• Lead and develop team members across Tech Ops Procurement; ensure policy and RAP compliance.
