Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a Lead, Strategic Sourcing, Facility to drive capital procurement initiatives for facility-related projects in North America.

You will manage complex construction and services contracts to ensure cost efficiency and project success within Corning’s $1.5–$2 billion annual capital budget. You will negotiate contracts, evaluate bids, and foster strong supplier relationships while interfacing with internal teams including finance and legal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 2 years’ experience in capital procurement/construction management and/or related field.
• Travel expected ~20%.
• CPSM or CPM Certification.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures and contract types.

Responsibilities

• Strategically source capital services and construction.
• Manage a portfolio of capital contracts.
• Draft, negotiate contracts with suppliers.
• Evaluate bids against project criteria.
• Oversee $100-150M annual spend.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
