Job summary

Alstom Australia is seeking a Lead Buyer on site in Bellevue to lead end-to-end sourcing, contracting, and supplier performance across a multi-site portfolio. You will deploy commodity strategies, drive negotiations, and ensure contract execution to deliver QCDT outcomes.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Quality, and Finance, shaping procurement strategies, managing supplier panels, and upholding Alstom’s ethics and CSR commitments across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
• Experience or understanding of strategic procurement processes and strategies.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality Control and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing, contracting, and supplier performance across multi-site projects.
• Localise commodity strategies for Australia; govern supplier panels and contracts across projects.
• Ensure alignment with commodity strategies.
• Drive QCDT performance and mitigate risk across bid to ramp-up.
• Lead site/project buyers; standardise practices, tools, and KPIs.
• Promote ethics, CSR, and compliance standards.
