Job summary

PNC seeks a senior procurement professional to lead category strategies and RFx events across the enterprise. You will advise executives on sourcing decisions, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost-efficient, compliant contracting. The role interfaces with multiple business units and governance forums, delivering measurable procurement improvements.

With 5+ years of experience, you will leverage Ariba and ERP platforms to optimize Source-to-Pay processes and vendor risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to influence at executive levels and communicate effectively.
• Experience with ERP, Source-to-Pay, preferably Ariba, and risk tools.
• Deep understanding of financial services products and services.
• Advanced skills in sourcing tech including software, SaaS, infra and network services.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities with measurable results.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of category strategies aligned with enterprise objectives
• Drive complex RFx events from ideation through contract execution
• Act as a subject matter expert and advise senior stakeholders on sourcing decisions
• Identify and implement innovative sourcing solutions and operational improvements
• Liaise between business units and Supply Chain Management
• Lead steering committees and governance forums
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Negotiate high-value, complex contracts with a focus on risk management and compliance
• Oversee contract lifecycle management, renewals, and pipeline prioritization
• Research, evaluate, negotiate, and select suppliers for high-quality, cost-effective goods and services
• Request and review complex vendor proposals
• Prepare supplier strategies, deal strategies, financial analyses, category strategies, and other sourcing artifacts
• Develop and monitor purchasing strategies and initiate departmental improvements
• Manage multiple strategic projects and present recommendations to executive leadership

Requirements

• University/college degree, typically a bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of industry-relevant experience
• Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including executive leadership
• Proficiency with ERP, Source-to-Pay systems, preferably Ariba, and risk management tools
• Deep understanding of financial services industry products and services
• Advanced experience sourcing technology solutions, including software, SaaS, infrastructure, and network services
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a track record of measurable resultsKnowledge of procurement, purchasing management, sourcing strategies, supplier management, supplier selection, vendor relationships, and vendor risk management
• Competency in contracts review, cost-benefit analysis, decision making, critical thinking, effective communications, industry knowledge, influencing, negotiating, and procurement
• No required certification

• Must not require employment visa sponsorship; PNC will not participate in STEM OPT
• Subject to applicable FDIA, SAFE Act, and/or FINRA requirements for registered roles
