Job summary

Stfrancis is seeking an internship candidate to support strategic purchasing, global sourcing, and operations. The role involves researching sources, evaluating quotes, and helping negotiate long-term agreements while improving delivery, quality, cost, and risk within the supply chain.

The candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting/finance, operations management, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field, with a 3.0+ GPA, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working independently.
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Strategic Purchasing, Global Sourcing, and Operations.
• Participate in strategic sourcing activities including understanding commodity landscape, researching new sources, gathering information for quotes, analyzing quotes, recommending sourcing plans, and negotiating long-term agreements.
• Lead initiatives to improve delivery, quality, cost, and risk within the supply chain.
• Maintain supplier partnerships through regular communication.
• Develop data analytics tools to streamline decision-making.
• Support Buyers and Purchasing Agents in procuring goods and services from suppliers.
