NWU in Minnesota offers a summer internship program focused on strategic purchasing, global sourcing, and operations. You will support cross-functional teams, research new sources, gather quotes, and help negotiate long-term agreements.

Ideal candidates are business, accounting/finance, operations management, or related majors, with a 3.0+ GPA, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsabilités

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Assist in Strategic Purchasing, Global Sourcing, and Operations.
• Participate in strategic sourcing activities including understanding commodity landscape, researching new sources, gathering information for quotes, analyzing quotes, recommending sourcing plans, and negotiating long-term agreements.
• Lead initiatives to improve delivery, quality, cost, and risk within the supply chain.
• Maintain supplier partnerships through regular communication.
• Develop data analytics tools to streamline decision-making.
• Support Buyers and Purchasing Agents in procuring goods and services from suppliers.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Students working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Operations Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field for the entire duration of the internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working independently and efficiently.
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $18.00 - $37.00 per hour, varying by location, experience, education, skills, and role responsibilities.
