Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking a senior procurement leader to guide third-party vendor solutions that support Claims strategy and operational excellence. This role acts as a trusted advisor, driving category strategy, supplier selection, and contract design to optimize value and risk across the enterprise.

The position requires directing team performance, leveraging market intelligence, and collaborating with senior leaders to deliver measurable savings while aligning with CNA’s transformation

Qualifications

• Leads a team with coaching and development responsibilities.
• Drives market intelligence and benchmarking for savings targets.
• Develops cross-functional category plans and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Negotiates terms and contracts with vendors and Law for favorable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Directs team performance, coaching and development.
• Communicates timely information through meetings and 1:1s.
• Gathers market intelligence and benchmarks to set annual savings targets.
• Leads cross-functional teams to define requirements and execute initiatives.
• Develops sourcing strategies and reduces cost and risk.
• Presents analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Collaborates with Law for large agreements and risk mitigation.
• Partners with a third-party provider for sourcing and contract services.
