Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is recruiting a Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing in Phoenix, AZ. This leadership role will drive cost savings, supplier performance, and supply continuity across Raw Material, Casting, and Forging sub-commodities.

You will report to the VP of Strategic Sourcing, Mechanical, and operate on a hybrid schedule from the Phoenix location. Strong procurement strategy development and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Materials/Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy.
• 15+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing procurement strategies.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of sourcing processes and tools, such as SAP and e-sourcing platforms.
• International experience with exposure to high-growth regions.
• Cross-functional experience in engineering/technology, operations, sales/marketing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual and strategic procurement plans.
• Ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business objectives.
• Lead sourcing transition initiatives to optimize the supply base and reduce risk.
• Participate in new supplier search and development.
• Drive supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in the procurement team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies.
• Improve sourcing processes and performance through effective management operating systems.
• Communicate and report transition progress to senior leadership.
• Lead supplier management activities to drive deliveries to need and facilitate recovery solutions.
