Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation in the United States is seeking a Director, Strategic Sourcing (MRO) to lead enterprise‑wide sourcing strategies across a $500 million MRO spend portfolio, driving cost transformation, supplier performance, supply continuity, and total cost of ownership improvements for manufacturing and maintenance operations.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, EHS, Legal, and Plant Leadership to optimize spare parts,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8–12 years of progressive procurement and sourcing experience in large, complex portfolios.
• Extensive experience sourcing MRO materials and maintenance services, and strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead multi-year sourcing strategies for MRO materials, spare parts, and services.
• Drive large-scale sourcing programs with cost savings and value creation targets.
• Build and manage supplier relationships with a focus on performance, risk and continuity.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and alignment with company policies.
