Job summary

Vizient is seeking a sourcing and contracting professional to develop and execute strategies that reduce spend and improve efficiency for clients. You will draft, redline and negotiate terms under Legal guidance, manage the full sourcing lifecycle, analyze data, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to strengthen stakeholder management.

You will support RFPs, supplier discussions, contract maintenance and communications, traveling as needed to client sites or Vizient offices in hybrid

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred in business, supply chain, legal studies, healthcare administration or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience; healthcare sourcing/contracting preferred.
• Experience with contract review, redlining, or negotiation support is a plus.
• Strong data analysis to identify trends and support decisions.
• Excellent verbal communication and stakeholder alignment across teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and redlining contract terms under guidance of senior team and Legal.
• Participate in supplier negotiations by preparing materials and discussions.
• Support alignment between clients, suppliers and internal teams; document updates.
• Ensure contract documents reflect updates and adhere to standards.
• Elevate complex items to senior sourcing executives for guidance.
• Contribute to sourcing strategies with data, market insights and supplier info.
• Assist in RFP creation, distribution, bids, and initial evaluations.
• Coordinate supplier communications and scheduling for sourcing activities.
• Support contract maintenance, amendments, renewals, and pricing validations.
• Prepare communications summarizing sourcing progress and supplier updates.
