Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Procurement Sourcing Category Strategist to drive complex sourcing initiatives within cross-functional teams. You will lead expense-reduction efforts, manage vendor engagements, and guide junior staff on procurement processes to achieve business outcomes.

The role interacts with senior leaders to influence strategies, negotiates contracts, and ensures compliance with corporate procurement standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Engineering, Procurement, or related field and seven (7) years of experience in procurement or related field
• Or High School Diploma or GED and eleven (11) years of experience in procurement or related field

Responsibilities

• Utilizes strategic sourcing to determine and prepare RFPs/competitive bids and negotiates contracts to reduce costs
• Leads strategic sourcing activities for assigned areas and executes the RFP/competitive bid processes
• Develops cross-functional teams and aligns with business stakeholders to finalize recommendations
• Identifies expense reduction opportunities with suppliers and stakeholders
• Mentor junior consultants and support continuous improvement initiatives
• May lead teams or supervise entry level procurement consultants
• Collaborates with Procurement Strategy Technology Consultant on projects
