Target is seeking a Sourcing Analyst in Minneapolis to enable faster, higher-quality decisions by translating analytics into actionable insights. You will support Owned Brands Food & Beverage sourcing and work with global analytics partners to inform negotiation strategies and supplier selections.

Success is measured by decision speed, negotiation strength, and time freed for sourcing leaders, rather than volume of analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field.
2–5 years of analytics, finance, or sourcing experience.
Strong analytical modeling skills (Excel required).
Experience interpreting cost drivers (commodities, labor, freight, FX, packaging).
Proven ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities

Translate analytics into clear insights, trade-offs, and recommendations that accelerate sourcing decisions.
Interpret RFP, cost change, and should-cost outputs to inform negotiation strategy and supplier challenges.
Partner closely with Strategic Sourcing to support category strategy and innovation decisions.
Lead scenario and sensitivity analysis tied to real business questions and decision points.
Provide real-time analytical judgment in meetings, negotiations, and leadership discussions.
Develop leadership-ready narratives that connect data to business impact.
Direct and leverage global analytics resources to ensure outputs align to decision needs.
Perform ad hoc analyses to support sourcing initiatives, negotiations, supplier reviews, and executive requests.
