Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Analyst II/Senior to lead data analysis and market insight behind sourcing decisions in the Houston area. You will own analytics for category strategies, build bid tabs, and partner with category leads to interpret data for measurable value in the supply chain.

Responsibilities include spend analytics, supplier risk monitoring, market research, and developing cost models to support negotiation strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in related discipline.
5–10 years analytical experience preferred in procurement or supply chain.
10+ years in analytics environment required in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

Implement, manage, and maintain strategic sourcing analytics for programs and categories.
Partner with Sourcing Specialists on sourcing events including bid analysis and supplier evaluation.
Own spend analytics for multiple categories, identifying savings, demand trends and supplier consolidation opportunities.
Develop and present sourcing strategy, savings and results to leadership at all levels.
Identify and monitor supplier risk through risk reporting and analysis.
Conduct market research and track commodity pricing, supplier capabilities and industry trends.
Build cost models and total cost of ownership comparisons to support negotiation strategies.
Design and maintain supplier performance metrics, bid analysis tools and savings tracking.
Create ad hoc reports as needed.
