Position Summary
The position is responsible for collecting, aggregating, analyzing, and maintaining supply chain data to support strategic sourcing and supply chain initiatives across the organization. Key responsibilities include spend analysis and management, supplier negotiations, cost-benefit analysis, payment term optimization, invoice accuracy and compliance, supplier performance management, corporate reporting, and ad hoc business analysis.

  • Develop and maintain global supply chain analysis tools, including Zycus, Power BI dashboards, databases, and reporting systems to support strategic sourcing and supply chain decision-making.
  • Assist business units with vendor onboarding and setup, invoicing issues, data discrepancies, supplier master data management, and payment term negotiations. Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance, data integrity, and process accuracy.
  • Perform comprehensive global spend analysis to identify cost savings, supplier consolidation, productivity improvements, and process optimization opportunities. Quantify financial impact, collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement action plans, and track realized benefits.
  • Analyze and report on sourcing trends affecting business performance, including contract expirations, pricing fluctuations, cost variance analysis, market conditions, commodity trends, tariffs, and economic indicators.
  • Support supplier negotiations by conducting cost-benefit analyses, benchmarking studies, working capital assessments, and payment term evaluations.
  • Support sourcing projects, supplier rationalization initiatives, productivity programs, and strategic supplier development activities.
  • Consistent with the Crane Business System (CBS), participate in, facilitate, and lead Kaizen and continuous improvement events that eliminate waste, improve flow, enhance supplier performance, and deliver measurable results in Growth, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Working Capital.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams to support supply chain initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and drive sustainable business results.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to make timely, effective, and data-driven decisions. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project, with the ability to analyze large datasets and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams within a dynamic business environment.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools, including Power BI and other business intelligence platforms, with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of supply chain, sourcing, procurement, and supplier management processes, including vendor onboarding, payment terms negotiations, contract compliance, and supplier performance management.
  • Results-oriented approach, with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable savings, process improvements, supplier performance enhancements, and business value.
Minimum Education/Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field required. A Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, with an emphasis on strategic sourcing, purchasing, supplier development, supplier performance management, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Knowledge of supplier qualification, onboarding processes, supplier audits, and supplier performance measurement systems.
  • Experience supporting supplier negotiations, payment term optimization, vendor setup, invoicing processes, and procurement compliance activities.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence and analytical tools, including Power BI, Excel, Zycus, ERP systems, and other reporting platforms, is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS (CPIM or CSCP) and ISM (CPSM) are highly preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally, as business needs require.
