Job summary

Polycor Group is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to drive value through sourcing initiatives, spend analytics, and supplier negotiations. You will partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities, mitigate risk, and support procurement objectives.

The role requires strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and experience in contract management and supplier performance management.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, vendor management, or contract management.
  • Experience leading sourcing events and supplier negotiations.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and developing business recommendations.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies across assigned spend categories.
  • Lead or support RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes.
  • Analyze supplier proposals and develop recommendations based on total cost of ownership, risk, quality, and service considerations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure sourcing strategies align with organizational goals.
  • Perform detailed spend analysis to identify savings opportunities, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support procurement decision-making.
  • Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, pricing trends, and market conditions.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Lead and support commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, service levels, and contractual conditions.

Job description

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for driving value through strategic sourcing initiatives, spend analytics, supplier negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance management. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and suppliers to identify cost savings opportunities, mitigate risk, improve service levels, and support the organization's procurement and operational objectives.

The successful candidate combines strong analytical skills with commercial acumen and relationship management capabilities to optimize supplier performance and deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

  • Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies across assigned spend categories.
  • Conduct market research, supplier evaluations, and competitive benchmarking to identify sourcing opportunities.
  • Lead or support Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes.
  • Analyze supplier proposals and develop recommendations based on total cost of ownership, risk, quality, and service considerations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure sourcing strategies align with organizational goals.

Data Analysis & Spend Management

  • Perform detailed spend analysis to identify savings opportunities, supplier consolidation opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support procurement decision-making.
  • Analyze supplier performance, contract compliance, pricing trends, and market conditions.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Monitor procurement metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and support commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, service levels, and contractual conditions.
  • Develop negotiation strategies based on data-driven insights and market intelligence.
  • Support contract renewals and renegotiations to maximize value and minimize risk.
  • Document negotiation outcomes and ensure alignment with procurement policies and business objectives.

Contract Management

  • Coordinate the review, execution, and ongoing administration of supplier contracts.
  • Ensure contracts are maintained, organized, and tracked throughout their lifecycle.
  • Monitor contract compliance, key obligations, renewal dates, and performance commitments.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to address contract-related issues.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual, commercial, and supplier risks.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure effective service delivery and performance.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Monitor supplier KPIs, service-level agreements (SLAs), and corrective action plans.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers.
  • Support supplier risk assessments and business continuity planning activities.
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Professional procurement certification preferred (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, CPPB, MCIPS, SCMP).

Experience

  • 3-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, vendor management, or contract management.
  • Experience leading sourcing events and supplier negotiations.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and developing business recommendations.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and performance metrics.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with spend analytics, reporting, and procurement systems.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of sourcing methodologies, procurement best practices, and contract management principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with ERP, procurement, and contract management platforms is considered an asset.
