Job summary

Goldman Sachs, a leading global financial services firm, seeks a Spend Management Analyst specializing in technology software in Dallas. You will drive software contract negotiations, assess vendor risk, and partner with Legal, Finance, Information Security and Compliance to ensure compliant vendor engagements.

You will create financial models, evaluate total cost of ownership, and provide strategic insights to optimize spending across engineering and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic record.
• 1–3 years in technology commercial and contract negotiations.
• Analytical capabilities and financial modeling experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal (written and verbal) skills; strong attention to detail and stakeholder management.
• Ability to lead across team members and drive assignments to completion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead/participate in contract and commercial negotiations for technology-related products and services globally, with focus on software agreements (SaaS/PaaS).
• Collaborate with risk management partners (Legal, Finance, Information Security, Compliance) to ensure vendor policies are followed.
• Create financial analyses of pending transactions, review vendor financial viability and ROI analyses; may involve benchmarking with outside research firms.
• Advise business/technology groups on licensing, contractual, and vendor risk matters.
• Liaise with Engineering leadership and relationship managers to identify vendor sensitivities and opportunities.
• Track and report on vendor management activities, spend, and trends across firm/business units.
