Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Project Manager to lead software implementations and technology initiatives from concept through delivery, serving as a delivery lead and solution owner.

You will translate strategic objectives into clear requirements, manage scope, prioritize backlogs, and drive UAT and stakeholder alignment while partnering with IT, business users, vendors, and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in project management.
• 5+ years of experience in combination of project management, business analysis, or hybrid delivery roles.
• Experience performing both project leadership and business requirements ownership.
• Experience managing vendors or third-party software providers.
• PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PRINCE2, or similar certification.
• Experience using project and portfolio management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, ServiceNow PPM).
• Experience with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, Fleet, Operations platforms, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software implementation and technology projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, financial targets, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk registers, and executive-level status reporting.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to ensure financial discipline.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, business users, vendors, and external consultants.
• Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), including test case development and validation of business outcomes.
• Provide clear, concise status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
