Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Procurement Specialist to lead complex software procurement and end-to-end subcontracting in a FAR/DFARS environment. You will analyze spend, manage renewals, and report metrics to DS CIDO leadership, partnering with program and engineering teams to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8+ years of relevant purchasing/subcontracts experience; or Master's with 6+ years; or PhD with 4+ years.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain U.S. Government DoD security clearance.
• Government procurement experience with FAR/DFARS and flow down requirements.
• Experience using MRP/ERP systems such as SAP, Costpoint, or Oracle.
• Strong analytical skills with pricing, spend, supplier performance, BOM/MP and software data.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex procurement and subcontracting actions in a FAR/DFARS environment, including strategy development, solicitations, evaluations and negotiations.
• Oversee BOM and MP Request lifecycle from quote to PO to support program schedules.
• Analyze spend, lead times and supplier performance to identify risks and cost reduction opportunities.
• Own lifecycle tracking for software purchases and renewals and report spend/renewals to leadership.
• Lead software PoPs tracking; coordinate renewals and quotes to align with budget cycles.
• Develop, maintain and present procurement and software spend reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Mentor others and share procurement best practices across the team.
• Establish data management practices for DS CIDO quotes, BOMs, licenses, PoPs and procurement files.
• Ensure procurement actions comply with FAR/DFARS, CPSR standards and internal controls.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide proactive status updates.
• Prepare procurement documentation, audit trails and system records.
• Support audits, data calls and management reviews with timely procurement data and analysis.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline procurement workflows.
