Del Mar College is seeking a Social Media & Digital Content Specialist to plan, create, publish, and manage engaging content across social channels and digital signage, supporting enrollment and student engagement.

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Content & Communications, the role requires graphic design, photography, videography, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and AI-enabled tools to produce accessible, on-brand content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
• At least two years of professional experience managing organizational social media accounts.
• Experience in graphic design, photography, and videography for digital channels.
• Experience managing digital signage platforms or similar content management systems.
• A portfolio showcasing social media content, graphic design, photography, and videography.

Responsibilities

• Plan, publish, and monitor engaging content across social media for enrollment and student success.
• Monitor platform performance and adjust content strategies to boost engagement.
• Create photography, videography, and multimedia content for digital campaigns.
• Produce on-brand content using industry-standard software and AI tools.
• Collaborate with Communications and IT on messaging priorities and signage systems.
• Develop visual assets for social media, email, and websites.
• Ensure accessibility, brand standards, and audience-appropriate delivery.
• Explore and recommend AI-assisted tools for content production.
