Job summary

Mersen is a global leader in electrical specialties and advanced materials, seeking a Finance Controller for the Rochester, NY site. The role supports the Site Director and management team in budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and robust financial reporting to improve site performance.

Responsibilities include cost analysis, KPI reporting, ERP data coordination, and collaboration with Group Finance. Requires 5–10 years in manufacturing finance and strong Excel and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• BA in accounting or equivalent.
• 5–10 years experience in manufacturing finance.
• Strong Excel skills and data synthesis ability.
• Experience with an integrated ERP system.
• Ability to work across functional lines.

Responsibilities

• Define site budget and strategic initiatives; improve financial performance.
• Ensure accounting quality and robust internal controls.
• Regularly inform stakeholders of financial performance and forecasts.
• Oversee the financial controller of the second site.
• Participate in site management meetings and present KPI analyses.
• Prepare monthly performance reports and cash flow analysis.
• Assist Site Director to optimize costs and cash flow; implement actions.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheets, P&L, and related documents.
