Job summary

Mersen is seeking a Financial Controller (Site) to lead accounting, reporting, finance, tax and audit activities at the Topton site. You will supervise staff, enforce Group policies and ensure accurate monthly P&L and financial health of the business.

You will draft budgets and forecasts, manage cost accounting, inventory valuation and CAPEX plans while ensuring compliance with GAAP and legal requirements. Onsite role with permanent full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Management (MBA preferred).
• Five years minimum experience in Accounting Management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial analysis capabilities.
• Experience in manufacturing finance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize the accounting and financial functions within the site.
• Act as project lead, as required.
• Draft budgets, plans, forecasts; analyze variances to improve performance.
• Hands-on cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial stewardship.
• Manage standard costing, update costs to minimize non-operational variances.
• Oversee CAPEX plans and fixed assets; assess ROI.
• Ensure adherence to legal and Group standards; handle filings.
• Advise site management on financial health and monthly P&L oversight.
• Supervise accounting, cash management and management control activities.
