Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Manager over Shipping & Receiving to optimize warehouse operations and lead a high-performing team in Atlanta, GA. The role requires 5+ years in material management within aerospace/defense, plus strong leadership and collaboration across procurement, production, and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in related field.
• 5+ years of material management, inventory control, or supply chain management in aerospace/defense manufacturing.
• 2+ years of experience managing a lead of supervisors, associates or technicians.
• Ability to be onsite, local to Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement material management strategies, policies, and procedures to comply with regulations.
• Hiring & training talent who can manage material flow per Anduril guidelines.
• Develop processes that increase the efficiency (speed & elimination of waste) and effectiveness of Anduril materials management.
• Implement necessary systems that match Anduril Federal policies on management of government property & inventory management.
• End-to-End material management measures including FIFO adherence, material variances, cycle time optimization, scrap/obsolescence management, cycle/physical counting, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and mitigate stockouts or overstocking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, manufacturing engineering, logistics, and quality, to aid in accurate demand forecasting, procurement planning, and timely delivery of materials.
• Collaborate with production planning and manufacturing teams to align material availability with production schedules, minimize disruptions, and meet customer demand on time.
• Analyze material usage trends, identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement lean practices to optimize material handling, storage, and distribution.
• Utilize ERP & WMS software systems and tools to track inventory, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and optimize material-related processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control protocols in all material management activities.
• Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
