Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Strategic Services Operations Manager to lead strategic initiatives and executive partnerships across a global custody platform.

• 10+ years of experience in Global Custody, Asset Servicing, Corporate Trust, Institutional Banking, Operations, Client Service, Business Engagement, Relationship Management, or related financial services functions.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, clients, relationship managers, product partners, and operational teams.
• Lead executive engagement routines, governance forums, strategic reporting, and service-level agreement oversight.
• Coordinate the identification, escalation, tracking, and resolution of complex custody-related issues.
• Translate client feedback, market developments, and operational challenges into strategic initiatives, product enhancements, and measurable business outcomes.
• Provide custody market expertise through client presentations, business reviews, industry analysis, and strategic consultations.
• Partner with business development and relationship management teams to support client retention, growth opportunities, and complex client needs.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Product, Technology, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.
• Help internal teams and clients prepare for regulatory, market, and operational changes.
• Represent the organization with clients, investment managers, sub-custodians, fintech providers, and industry participants.

Are you a strategic financial services leader who can turn complex client and business needs into meaningful results? Join us as a Strategic Services Operations Manager and help advance a global custody platform through executive partnership, operational leadership, and cross-functional execution.

In this highly visible role, you will serve as a strategic bridge between business partners, clients, and operations. You will collaborate across Wealth, Global Fund Services, Institutional Trust & Custody, Corporate Trust, Product, Technology, Risk, Finance, and other key organizations to translate emerging needs into actionable initiatives and service enhancements.

What You Bring

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Global Custody, Asset Servicing, Corporate Trust, Institutional Banking, Operations, Client Service, Business Engagement, Relationship Management, or related financial services functions.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Direct experience within Global Custody Services, Asset Servicing, Securities Processing, Institutional Trust & Custody, or Corporate Trust.
• Strong network within the institutional custody and asset servicing industry.
• Experience supporting strategic growth initiatives, client retention efforts, and business development activities.
• Proven ability to influence operating models, product strategies, and client service frameworks across a large financial institution.
• Deep understanding of global custody services, asset servicing, securities processing, cash correspondent banking, and complex asset administration.
• Experience supporting institutional and wealth-focused business lines within a large financial institution.
• Proven ability to build executive-level partnerships and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and driving results without direct authority.
• Expertise in issue management, governance, service delivery, and operational improvement.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Location Expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $148,495.00 - $174,700.00
